Shorashim Art Auctions

 

This site was designed having you in mind, our main concern was to make it easy and fun to buy and sell through Shorashim Art. Please read it and go ahead to fill out your registration form
Should you have any questions that were not addressed herewith, do not hesitate to contact Shorashim Art.

Conditions of Sales:
Bidding, buying and selling at Shorashim Art requires abiding to the terms and conditions of this agreement as well as having a good financial standing with a certified bank.
Services are not available for minors and registration acceptance is at Shorashim Art sole discretion.
We handle your data with the utmost care. All information you provided on registering is technologically safeguarded and will not be disclosed to third parties under any circumstances.
Seller's title to auctioned item:
The seller of an item through Shorashim Art warrants that he is the rightful owner and has title of said item, or is in possession of power of attorney from its owner to sell said item. The seller also warrants that the item is free from any lien or encumbrance.
Reserve Price:
Is agreed upon prior to the auction between the seller and Shorashim Art and remains undisclosed throughout.
Items for which reserve price is not met or exceeded will remain unsold.
Buyer's title to auctioned item:
Buyers only take full possession of any bought items after full payment of all monies (including premium and applicable taxes) and clearance of cheques.
Payments should be made within 3 working days from confirmation of highest bid received/closing of the sale.
Payment:
All prices are stated in American Dollars. Payments made in Israeli currency will be converted as per representative rate of day of payment.
Payments are accepted in cash, cheques payable to an Israeli bank as well as by money transfers. It is also possible to arrange for payments by credit card. Please contact our offices for details.
Bid Cancellation:
Bid retractions and/or cancellations are generally not possible and can be done in very special cases only.
Fees & Expenses:
A buyer's premium will be added to the hammer price, together with VAT.
For the first US 300, buyer's premium is 18% plus VAT. Above that amount, premium is 15% plus VAT.
Please note that VAT is added on the premium amount only.
Shipping and handling expenses are paid by the buyer and can be arranged by registered post, express post or currier services.
Insurance can be bought by the buyer, by prearrangement prior to shipping, at a rate of 1,5% over the hammer price.
Disputes & Liabilities:
Items are sold in "as is " condition. Under no circumstances will a statement made at the site, sale or invoice be deemed as warranty or representation of liability.
Any disputes of any nature arising from a transaction on Shorashim Art will be solely under the jurisdiction of the Courts in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Sellers Services:
For customers interested in placing items for sale on Shorashim Art, we offer a comprehensive service of expert evaluations.
Appraisals for Insurance purposes are also available. For more information, please call our offices for an appointment.
Tired of Blind Bidding?
Shorashim Art School has specialized courses in Art Evaluation and Appraisal.
For your convenience courses are taught in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Haifa with morning and evening classes.
For the very busy crowd, we hold a series of Art meetings that takes places on Friday mornings. It is an excellent environment to learn and meet new friends.
